    How does it work?

    • Once you're accepted onto the Course and payment is made, you'll get a Pack with pre-course study materials and a study timetable.
    • When the course starts, there'll be briefings and debriefings every morning on the previous day's activities to identify specific outcomes for the new day.
    • In the early afternoons you'll prepare for the evening teaching practices or work on your assignments.
    • Late afternoon will be your opportunity to shine: at least 6 hours of observed practice teaching either 1:1 or small groups.
    • You must pass each of 3 assignments over the 4 weeks and a Grammar test - for which you'll be well prepared!
    • There will be occasional Micro-lesson recordings - you present a short lesson that is recorded and you watch, analyse and learn from the interactions.
    • You'll keep a daily journal of your reflections on how your teaching is progressing and how the course is supporting your professional development.
  • Accountability

    • Our instructors will always be there to coach, mentor, support and be a listening ear.
    • In addition, we'll be around to provide you with the odd nudge in the right direction and (very occasionally!) give a bit of tough love when necessary!
  • Course Tutors

The quality of teaching and support you get is vital to the success of your teaching practice experience.

Every single one of the tutor staff preparing student EFL teachers was a highly experienced ex-senior teacher in UK state education.

In addition, all of the tutors have an MA in Education from a UK University AND a Post Grad qualification in teaching English or at least 5 years EFL teaching experience.

We know more than most what the challenges are for newly qualified teachers who are entering the profession of EFL teaching.

  • Entry Criteria

All the qualifications have been designed to be accessible without artificial barriers that restrict access and progression.

Before contacting us, please check you meet the following general criteria:

    • Are you 18 or over?
    • Have you achieved a level of education normally required for entry into higher education?
    • Is your English good enough to teach at a range of levels? (Minimum CEFR Level B2 / C1)

In the case of non Native English Speakers:

Applicants whose first language is not English need to evidence IELTS level 6.5 (or a 'good' B2 / C1 as an equivalent) or better. If your highest certification level is below IELTS 6.5, we can offer you the opportunity to study English alongside your training and take the C1 examination.

One further thing, if you come to study from a country outside the European Union, it is likely that you will require a Schengen visa - download this document for further details.
