• David Cadogan

    Director and Senior Instructor

As Director and Senior Trainer at the IELTT, David originally studied 'Primary' Education in the UK and obtained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in 1987, specializing in supporting the language and numeracy development of learners with Special Needs (University of Wales).

On graduation, David taught Computer Science and Basic Skills in Further Education before leaving to work in main stream Secondary Education, ultimately joining one of the Sector Skills Councils to develop qualifications and assessment within policing and law enforcement. David qualified with an MA in Personal. Professional and Work related Learning in 2008 (University of Hertfordshire).

In 2011 David returned to teaching in Further Education - this time as Programme Manager - and joined The Education and Training Foundation as Team Leader for Professional Standards and the qualifications of teachers in the skills sector.

On moving to Spain in 2017, David once again taught English to a wide variety of learners, before becoming frustrated with the poor skills and learning fellow TEFL professionals have had to tolerate and founding the IELTT.
